Colour of the Week - June Bud

This week's colour of the week is.. June Bud!

I'm not always a fan of green.. but I do really love yellowy/lime greens like this one, and it makes me look forward to spring and summer in the dark days of winter.. well white days of winter like today!

Below are some colour palettes using June Bud, I hope they inspire you!

Muskoka Colour Inspiration

While I was in Canada in the summer I noticed that everyone had a particular type of chair, called Muskoka chairs after the region. They all had them in different colours and this particular set really caught my eye as a nice colour palette so thought I would share it with you all today for some colour inspiration!

Custom fabric makes

It suddenly occurred to me that I never shared the photos of the things I made with my custom printed Spoonflower fabric for my degree work! You can see the original post about the fabric here.

I made bunting, a bag, keyrings, fabric napkins and seat cushions with the 2 coordinating fabrics. It's a great summery fabric and the seat cushions have been out in my garden looking beautiful!

You can buy the fabrics in my Spoonflower shop (apples + stripes)

Sunshine

We have FINALLY had some summer here and it has been wonderful! Not wanting to miss out of the great weather, which will probably only last a few days I have been working outside quite a bit of the time, soaking up some sun and enjoying my surroundings!

Below are a few pictures of lovely things in my garden that I have had the joy to work beside and seek inspiration from!

Another exciting delivery from Moo!

I recently took advantage of the 30% off summer sale at Moo and ordered myself some mini cards and stickers. The previous items I ordered were so fantastic I thought it would be good to have a smaller less formal card to give out to people with my website and twitter on, so ordered a pack of minicards, with 8 different designs on the backs, 6 of my best/favourite surface designs and 2 traditional backs like my existing Moo business cards.

Again amazed by the quality, appearance, feel and attention to detail of Moo products. The colours have some out perfectly, the paper stock feels incredible and they come so beautifully packaged too!

I also ordered a client's business cards and stickers from Moo and they have also arrived so expect a post of more Moo gorgeousness next week!

I absolutely adore the mini cards with a selection of my designs on the back, it's like a mini portfolio!

New iheartrosie items on Etsy

I've been busy making lots of new products for my Etsy shop iheartrosie recently, below is a run down of some of the new products available in the shop, I hope you like them!

First up a few new takes on existing popular braided fabric bracelets, with a simple lobster clasp fastening, button fastening and an exciting new colour!

Braided Fabric bracelets with lobster clasp, available in blue, pink, khaki, purple, mint or black and white AND *NEW* bright summer fabric, each with a choice of either silver or bronze lobster clasp fastening.

A new colour choice "summer" for popular braided fabric bracelet with button fastening available here

iheartrosie has also now branched out into braided friendship bracelets which are very trendy this year and the perfect accessory for summer, available in many different colourways with different charms! Custom bracelets are also available, please contact me for more details. You can view the selection of friendship bracelets available here

Below are a couple of special bracelets that I wanted to feature individually, first, a pink friendship bracelet with hope ribbon charm, $1 from each sale of this bracelet is donated to Breast Cancer research charity. Great for showing support, remembering a loved one or just helping by donating to charity.

Next are two bracelets especially for 4th July holiday, in red, white and blue with star and ball charms, great for showing patriotism and celebrating.

All braided friendship bracelets have sliding knot closures so are adjustable sizes and should fit most teenage/adult wrists.

I have a few new ideas in the pipeline so keep checking back for updates and to receive more news and new product information from iheartrosie follow us on Twitter or like us on Facebook!

My spoonflower fabric came!

Today is a very very exciting day! My spoonflower fabric I posted about last week arrived, and it is such an exciting experience to see your own design printed so professionally on fabric!

So here are a few photos, I chose colours which are very hard to photograph it seems!

Really happy with how it's come out! The colour, as expected, is slightly different to how it looked on screen and how I had imagined but it works well! The fabric is now available to purchase from my spoonflower shop here!

Update of the full project coming soon when I have made things with the fabric. Planning to make bunting, bags and possibly cushion covers too!
