New Design - Floral Bikini Print

Lately I've had one of those wonderful periods where new patterns just seem to flow!

So today I am sharing something new that I have been working on with you all.. This IKAT style floral ditsy works in so many different colour ways, below is my favourite which would be great as a swimwear or accessories print!

New design - Ideal Homes Wallpapered Competition

Today I am sharing a new design I created recently for the Ideal Homes Wallpapered Competition.

As the print is designed for wallpaper it works best at a large scale where you can see all the detail and texture

I'm really pleased with this design and would love to actually have it as wallpaper! I hope to have it available as wallpaper (perhaps through Spoonflower) in the future!

Mother's Day at M&S

In Marks & Spencer's the other day I noticed the gorgeous range of small gifts they have in store for Mother's Day.

One particular range caught my eye with it's gorgeous colour scheme and pretty hand-drawn pattern and illustrations. Blogger meet up..

The weekend before last I went to meet some LOVELY local blogging ladies in Southampton!

It was such a pleasure to meet these fabulous talented girls, we had loads to chat about and it was great fun and very inspiring. We discussed creativeness, work, being self employed, blogging (of course!) and much much more. Like me, Harriet and Rachel both run their own Etsy stores and Laura also runs the wonderful 'Wrapped up in Weddings' blog! So all in all, we are a very creative bunch!

Colour of the week - Jungle Green

This weeks colour of the week is... Jungle Green!

Jungle Green is very similar to this years Pantone Colour of the Year, Emerald, but slightly brighter.

I adore blue-y greens and green-y blues, and I saw this one and couldn't wait to use it in colour palettes and new designs and share it with you all! Below are some colour palettes using Jungle Green to inspire you!

Things have been busy here lately and I've got a bit behind with creating a new design each week using colour of the week, so this week I am going to create a whole collection of designs using the past three colours; Berry, June Bud and Jungle Green. I will share the designs later in the week, so don't forget to check back!

I discovered Rachel's work a few weeks back and love her use of colour and fun shapes. Her patterns and illustrations always put a smile on my face! Rachel was recently featured on Surface Pattern blog Print & Pattern, and is exhibiting at Surtex for the first time this May.
