Feature Friday - Lisa Buckridge

Today's feature Friday designer is.. Lisa Buckridge

Lisa is an illustrator and surface pattern designer based in the UK. She shares her patterns on her blog called 'Posted Patterns' and also her illustrations on her illustration blog

Lisa tells us a little about how her surface pattern design career so far and herself as a designer..

I was given the opportunity to design my first ever repeat pattern for Peony Scarves 2 years ago and have been very lucky to be able to continue designing for them ever since. My designs are mostly about animals and birds and recently some florals that are currently in production and we are waiting for the samples of these to arrive any time soon. My scarf designs are produced by hand using silk screens so it is important that I keep them simple and clean; because of this, my way of working has evolved from traditional to digital and although I am still drawing, when it comes to surface pattern design, it tends to be on a screen rather than paper. I would describe my patterns as cute and quirky.

The texture of Lisa's line comes across gorgeously when her illustrative patterns are printed on scarves

You can buy Lisa's illustrations and patterns on products from her Society6 store!
